The KGT is folded from a single sheet of powder-coated aluminium: no welds, no fasteners, no joins. It functions as a tray, a desk organiser, a breakfast board, a wall-mounted shelf, or a toolbox tote depending on orientation and need. That a single bent sheet of metal can perform this range of functions without looking like it’s trying is largely the point.
Made in Portugal by Lisbon studio CP-RV, the KGT has won three distinct awards across three years: the Wallpaper Design Awards in 2022, Germany’s ICONIC Awards from the Design Council in 2024, and the Monocle Design Award in 2025. Seven finishes span Light Grey, Ultramarine, Coral, Ivory, Pure Green, Orange, and Brushed Aluminium. Punched feet allow clean stacking. A wall unit extension system is available separately for fixed mounting.
UTIL keeps the product line narrow by design. The KGT has not been expanded into a family of variants or scaled into a range; it remains exactly what it was when it first won the Wallpaper award, which is likely why it’s still winning them.
