The Q3 43 is the quieter sibling to Leica’s flagship compact. Where the original Q3 ships with a 28mm Summicron, this variant fits a 43mm f/2 - a focal length close to how the human eye actually sees. The result is photographs that feel less engineered and more observed.
Under the hood it shares everything with the Q3: a 60-megapixel BSI full-frame sensor, OLED viewfinder, in-body stabilisation, and Leica’s famously deliberate aperture ring. The 43mm lens resolves exceptional detail wide open and holds its character well into the corners.
For street, travel, or portrait work where you want one lens and no decisions to make, this is the camera. The price is unapologetically high. The output justifies it.
