The Parade lamp was the first shared design project between Danish designers Viola Heyn-Johnsen and Jonas Trampedach, made for HAY. The form is geometrically precise - a square base rising to a full arched crown - but executed in mouth-blown glass, so each unit carries slight dimensional variation.
The object behaves differently depending on where you stand. The sense of mass and depth shifts from flat arch to full volumetric form as you move around it; switched off, it reads as sculpture. On, the integrated 5W LED delivers three light levels via an inline step dimmer, rated to 25,000 hours. HAY was co-founded by Rolf and Mette Hay in 2002 with a specific mandate - put serious designers to work on objects that don’t require serious money - and the Parade lamp sits directly in that lineage. Available in Shell White, Blush Pink, and Moss Green. Three sizes: 16cm, 24cm, 32cm.
