Vite means screw in Italian. Philippe Malouin designed the boiler of this moka pot in the form of a large hex bolt, so the threading motion you use every morning to assemble it is written into the object’s shape. It is a clean conceptual idea that does not require explanation once you hold it.

The body is cast aluminium with a thermoplastic resin handle in sage green. It works on all hob types including induction, which most moka pots still cannot claim. Three-cup size is the practical choice.

Alessi launched this in early 2026. At £80 it sits below most of the design studio’s catalogue and well below what comparable objects from boutique Italian manufacturers cost. A rare piece that is useful every day.
